Compact heat storage system for the built environment

Are hot showers without using natural gas possible? Yes, ARES is developing a thermal battery that stores solar power so you can always enjoy a warm shower. We demonstrated that this is possible in collaboration with TNO. The inhabitants of a Tiny house could take green showers. ARES/de Beijer RTB built the heart of the device, the thermal battery. TNO built the demonstration set-up. This project, Compacte Conversie en Opslag (storage) Pilot, was the first demonstration of a total compact thermal storage system as it would be done in the future by installers.
